Good afternoon, readers. How’s it going? All’s well over here, and today I’ve rolled out a few updates that I hope you’ll find helpful. Most are small changes, but they were all made with accessibility in mind. Without further ado, let’s go over the updates I made to the site today – as well as what training guides are coming up next.
So, the first thing I’ve done today is I’ve updated the TRAINING GUIDES tab. I’ve added links to all of my articles and installed a new system designed to replicate the character select screen from Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Every character that has a training guide has an icon that you can click on to go to their guide. This will be regularly updated, so I hope you use this. You can click the text that says “TRAINING GUIDES” at the beginning of the paragraph to go there, or you can go to the sidebar on the main page.
Also new to the sidebar is a CONTACT US page. Full disclosure here: I’m the only one running the site, but “Contact US” sounds more professional than “Contact me” so why not? There’s a link to my email there, so if you’ve got a question or anything of the sort, feel free to send an email.
And also new to the sidebar is a new IRC CHANNEL! If you’ve got a question but don’t have the time to send an email, go there. It’s on the network EsperNet, which is quite safe. All you need to do is click the text in the sidebar that says “IRC CHANNEL” (or use that bolded text in the beginning of this paragraph) and click Connect. By default, your name will be Guest, but you can change it via instructions I wrote in the IRC Channel page. Once there, if you see “Cloud” in the userlist, it means I’m available to answer questions. I try to be there as often as possible, so if you see me there, say my name, and as long as you’ve spelled it correctly, I’ll receive a notification and I’ll come to answer your question ASAP.
This next part’s really important, so I’m bolding this text to catch your eye, because, you know, that’s what bolded text does. Have I caught your eye? Good. I’m starting a new system where if you use my guide to train an amiibo, and then send me a 3-minute replay of it on an omega stage, I’ll post it on the character guide’s page for others to see and give you credit with the username you supplied. All you need to do to upload a replay is to first save it on the Wii U, then go to your Vault, then to Replays, then select the Replay you want to upload, and click “Upload to YouTube and Miiverse”. When it’s done uploading, send me the link via reddit (I’m /u/Cloud_Nine987 there) or e-mail (amiibocloud@gmail.com). Also, be sure to tell me what name you want to be credited under. Just for clarification, the amiibo replay you send me should be trained with its character guide so that the replay shows a level 50 amiibo.
Lastly, I’ve got some news about training guides. At the request of readers, the next three are Rosalina, Sheik, and Samus, in that order. After that, I’m not quite sure. But if you really want me to make a guide, shoot me a PM or email. Anyway, thanks for reading, and I hope I’ll be able to provide a bunch of new training guides in the next few weeks!
