Hey guys. I know it’s been a week now since I’ve made any new character guides…the longest gap ever. I know. Sorry about that. Things have been really busy, and I just finished switching to equipment. Yep, I now feed my amiibo. I also got a Mii Gunner amiibo, too, so that’s cool. I’ll be talking about a bunch of stuff in today’s updates.
First up, I’m going to be updating lots of things. I think I’m going to be making a new Grounded guide that focuses slightly more on defense. I’ll also be updating Amiibo Framework several times. But most of all, from now on, all character guides will have a section on what kind of equipment is best for them. It’s going to be between the custom moves paragraph and the first step of training. It’s going to take a while to update all the previous articles, but you’ll know it if I update a guide.
I’m also going to be making a page where I list all the amiibo I currently have and the stat setups I’ve given them. Not sure when this’ll be out.
But the most important thing here is the Mii Gunner guide I’m working on. So far, the Mii Gunner’s been more difficult to get a read on than the other characters. Miis are just so customizable that it’s going to be hard to create a definitive guide on them. All of the Mii’s custom moves are drastically different, and the size of the Mii chosen affects their speed and power. I’m thinking it’s going to be Balanced. Its kill moves are down tilt, up tilt, up smash, down smash, back air, and maybe down air on a lucky day. Those kill moves are split between aerials and ground moves, so I think Balanced is the way to go here. I know this much; the Mii Gunner amiibo has proficient AI, so it’s going to be above C Rank. I’m thinking B Rank, but it might even make A Rank if my tests prove successful.
I also got an NFC reader for 3DS, so I may start coming out with some 3DS-specific guides. I forgot how much harder it was to properly control Smash 3DS than the Wii U version. Oh well. But yep, I’ll be working on the Mii Gunner guide for a while, and I’ll likely finish up the Brawler and Swordfighter guides over Christmas break. Thanks for putting up with this huge delay in content – you can be sure that I’m working hard to get more guides released!
