Wii Fit Trainer’s best equipment setup balances Attack and Defense (+70 Attack / +70 Defense / -20 Speed) at the cost of Speed. In terms of bonus effects, Auto-heal capability, Lifesteal, and Improved escapability are essential.
Wii Fit Trainer benefits from the Sweeping Sun Salutation custom move. Compared to the default version of the move, it travels slower, hits multiple times, and has a windbox while charging. Wii Fit Trainer will also recover more health when the attack is fully charged.
An amiibo becomes strongest if it is mirror matched all the way to Level 50. This is done to teach the AI which moves to rely on; after reaching Level 50, it will use this training as a base and expand upon it with matchup experience. While training your amiibo, do not play aggressively or go off-stage; instead, remain grounded and keep the following moves in mind:
- Neutral options: jab (Lunge), forward tilt (Dancer), and down tilt (Bridge). Wii Fit Trainer’s neutral attack hits three times, and the third hit buries opponents. This can lead into a forward tilt or a down tilt – both of which pack respectable power.
- Main KO moves: forward smash (Warrior), up smash (Tree), and down smash (Arm & Leg Lift). Wii Fit Trainer’s smash attacks are slow and lack range, but they are her only KO options. Forward smash is generally the most reliable of the three – use this move with decisive timing for best effect.
- Moves to avoid: neutral special (Sweeping Sun Salutation) and side special (Header). Wii Fit Trainer should avoid using her neutral special. It is difficult to find a good opportunity to fully charge the move, and firing it uncharged deals negligible damage. Header brings Wii Fit Trainer very little benefit.
