Project Exion Update #1: An Overview

Hey all! As you may or may not know, I’ve been working on a game for the past several months. At the time of writing, it’s not far along at all; in fact, it’s still in the planning phase. Even so, there’s quite a bit I’d like to share with you all. Nothing major yet, mostly proof of concept. Without further ado, let’s get started on today’s updates!

Initial Information

This game doesn’t have a proper title yet, so I’m calling it “Project Exion“. “Exion” is actually the name of our logo symbol! It’s gone unnamed until now, and it originates from Project Exion itself (which has been in development for quite some time now). The Exion is a powerful reality-warping ability possessed by the game’s main protagonist.

The main protagonist is Calem, an average-looking kid from an average-looking town. He’s sixteen years old, attends the local high school, and writes and draws. He’s pretty quiet, though, and you’ll probably never hear a word out of him. Some people are like that. For some reason, Calem – an unassuming young lad – can wield the power of the Exion to attack or defend himself. He doesn’t like to fight, but there’s always fighting in video games, so he’s going to have to get over it sooner or later. That’s just how it is.

Calem’s adventure (the details of which will be disclosed at a later date) begins in his home town! It’s a cozy little place that’s got everything a resident needs: apartments, a grocery store, a school… and the houses even have bathrooms! Fancy. To wrap up today’s update, here are a few screenshots of the first area:

That’s all for today! I only gave you a small taste of what’s to come. So far, nothing too crazy, but hopefully everything is looking good so far! I’m the only one working on this game right now, so it’s going to take a very long time to complete. Hopefully the occasional update will help keep things interesting.
