For the record, Byleth and Steve’s positions in the Fighters Passes might have been switched. Either way, Steve, the “main protagonist” of Minecraft (if you can call him that) has been revealed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! He appears to use a wide variety of items from Minecraft, including building block structures, eating food, and flying with the Elytra. This means Steve will receive an amiibo… and it also means we’re going to have to constantly disappoint people by telling them Steve’s AI can’t build specific shapes with its blocks.

Zombie, Enderman, and Alex were also announced as alternate costumes. More information will be revealed in a livestream this Saturday, October 3rd. Maybe we’ll hear about the Banjo and Terry amiibo, too? In the meantime, feel free to check out Steve’s announcement trailer by following this link.
