Hey everyone, it’s been a while since we’ve released an update post like this one! As you can see, we’ve been hard at work updating our amiibo training guides once again. At the time of writing, we’re about halfway there, and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! We hope our training guides have helped you train tournament-ready Figure Players. On a somewhat-related note, I have something exciting to announce today — Exion now has an official Patreon page.
You may be wondering why we need to have a Patreon, and that’s understandable! Earlier this year, I made a post on Twitter trying to raise money to pay for the site’s upkeep. It’s starting to get really expensive, and quite frankly, I can’t afford to pay for it all myself anymore. I’m a college student and I am trying to save up for other things as well; combine that with expensive site payments and it becomes a bit too much for me to handle all at once.
To add to that, though, I’ve been creating amiibo training content with the help of the community since 2015. That means I have technically been creating amiibo content longer than anybody else! And on just about every day since 2015, I’ve had to put in several hours of work – be it updating a guide, fixing tiny errors behind the scenes, creating new site images – you get the point. It is a lot of work to do for free, and between that and the site payments, I have decided to create a Patreon to help keep Exion up and running.
We’ve also got some benefits for Patreon supporters, and you can find out about them here. Of course, you don’t have to subscribe if you don’t want to! But any help is much appreciated, and will go a long way in keeping Exion up and running. I want to be able to work even harder to make it the best amiibo resource out there, and I can’t do that without your help. Thank you so much for considering!
