The official amiibo tier list for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Spirits)

Welcome to the community’s official tier list for the Spirited amiibo format! The placements are all based on tournament data from the Spirit Amiibo Matchups server. If you see something you don’t agree with, feel free to participate in the tourneys held there. Exion also hosts a vanilla tier list and a Raid Boss tier list, if either of those interest you. Otherwise, let’s get right into the list!

In amiibo tournaments that allow Spirits, the Incineroar and Kazuya Figure Players have been determined to be too strong — which means they’re banned from most competitive tours. This tier list assumes that Autoheal, Great Autoheal, Armor Knight, Slow Super Armor, Super Armor, and Critical Healing & Metal are all banned.

Tier List Details & Explanation

New or casual trainers may try to deny the existence of tiers in competitive amiibo training, arguing that each FP is on par with the rest. However, tournament results have proven that this simply isn’t true. Each character has a different moveset and AI, and some of these are inherently stronger or weaker than others. Certain fighters – specifically ones in low tiers – are also plagued with AI flaws that may get them KO’d in competitive matches (for example, Bayonetta often fails to properly utilize her recovery).
