Full list of amiibo rewards in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is out tomorrow, and we’re here with a list of amiibo compatibility and rewards ahead of time! In case you aren’t already aware, the Kirby series Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight amiibo figures were reprinted for this game’s launch period. That’s because they have special functions! We’ll be detailing all of this and more, as well as what non-Kirby figurines do. Let’s begin!

Star Coins, Stat Boosts, And More

Just like in previous Kirby titles, the amiibo menu appears on the pause menu. You can only use five amiibo figures per level; upon clearing that stage, the counter is reset. The rewards in Forgotten Land are much better than those in Star Allies, but still aren’t as in-depth as they were in Planet Robobot. Here’s what the special character amiibo do:

  • Kirby gives the player a bunch of Star coins and a Life-Up container. The container will enter your inventory, and you’ll be able to hold the X button to use it when you deem it necessary.
  • Meta Knight gives the player Star coins and a speed boost! As you might expect, it noticeably increases Kirby’s movement speed for a few minutes. Great for running through levels and picking up goodies you missed the first time around!
  • King Dedede gives the player Star coins and an attack boost. Your moves will become more powerful, allowing you to take down enemies and bosses much quicker.
  • Waddle Dee doesn’t do anything special. It just gives you a regular food item and a tiny amount of Star Coins…

The Super Smash Bros. series Kirby amiibo behave the same as their Kirby series counterparts. Every other character will either give you a simple healing item or a Car Kirby cake that doubles your health bar. As if this game isn’t easy enough already, right?
