100% completion in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a tall order, and one of the tasks you’ll need to finish entails cooking every single dish in the game. At the time of writing, there are a whopping 228 of them! In today’s post, we’ll go over the easiest ways to cook all of these recipes as well as a list of ingredients for each one. If you’re ready to go, then let’s get cooking!
Cooking Tips & Tricks
To access your recipe book, go to your food stash and press the X button. Each of the game’s recipes is numbered, so you shouldn’t have much trouble finding out which ones you’re missing. Find a spot with a cooking pot (Tarrey Town and Link’s House are my favorites) and get ready to cook! If your version of Tears of the Kingdom is 1.1.1 or earlier, you’re able to duplicate items by opening your Paraglider, holding five of the items you want to duplicate, and then pressing the Y and B buttons at the same time. It might take you a few tries, but the timing is forgiving. You’ll need lots of Goron spice, Hylian rice, and Tabantha wheat for these recipes, so make sure you know where to find them (a shop in Goron City, cutting wild grass, and shops in other towns, respectively).
The recipe book also includes things like roasted and icy meat — the easiest way to obtain these is to travel to a hot or cold place (like the Fire Temple or Hebra Mountains) and drop a bunch of food out in the open. That way you won’t have to waste Fire Fruit or Ice Fruit on every item you want to cook! If you’re cooking a ton of recipes at once, you’re probably going to have to eat a bunch of food to make space in your inventory. In that case, it might be a good idea to damage yourself so you don’t have to press the A button an extra time every time you try to eat food with full hearts.
List of Recipes
Here’s the full list of all 228 recipes! As a reminder, the name of the dish you end up with changes a bit if you add extra ingredients to the mix. If you’re looking for some extra cash, you can cook these recipes in Tarrey Town’s cooking pot and then sell unwanted food to one of the vendors. Dishes don’t sell for much, but it’s still something.

Some of these ingredients are tricky to obtain. For example, Dark Clumps are only available from Bargainer Statues and Phantom Ganon, while Monster Extract is only available via side quests and one of the shops in Tarrey Town. As mentioned earlier, if you’re playing on an earlier version of the game, you’ve got a huge advantage here — dupe your items correctly, and you’ll save yourself several hours. Unfortunately, if your game is updated to the latest version, you’ll either have to find a new duplication glitch that works or gather up all the ingredients manually.
Regardless, we hope this list helped you out! If you have any questions that weren’t answered here, feel free to direct them to our Discord community (or just leave a comment here, if you like). We’re planning on writing more guides for Tears of the Kingdom in the future, so stay tuned for more. Thanks so much for reading!
