Venus (formerly known as Rooty) is Smitty’s Piranha Plant amiibo. It is considered the best Piranha Plant amiibo in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and is at least partially responsible for its status as a high-to-top tier fighter.

History

Venus’s debut was Champions of Solaris 2 in which it defeated a Lucario, an Isabelle, a Dark Pit, another Piranha Plant, a Mii Swordfighter, and three more Piranha Plants before winning the entire tournament. It went on to win several more tournaments including Leaf’s Konoha Seishin 0 and Splice’s S.M.I.T.E. #01, helping Venus cement its spot as the strongest Piranha Plant amiibo.

Venus’s nickname is derived from the Venus Flytrap, as both Piranha Plant and the Venus Flytrap are types of plants that can move.
