It’s nearly February 24, 2020 — and nine years ago, our community was born! Of course, we only recently found our footing as Exion; over the years, we went through many different names and iterations. If you’re a new reader and want to learn about some of our history, you’ve come to the right place! In the spirit of our ninth anniversary, I am going to outline our community and its past.
If you aren’t ready to read a massive wall of text, then I’ll leave you with this: thanks for sticking around for nine years. Things have been picking up for us, and I hope to see our community continue to grow and thrive. You, as viewers, are the most important part of our work, and I am very thankful for that!

Cloud’s Forum Adventures (often shortened to CFA) was an awful comic series I worked on from 2012 to 2015. You’ll see what I mean just by reading one episode: its characters are dull, its plot is cliche, and its visuals are awkward and uninteresting.
Believe it or not, CFA has had enough fans to generate a multitude of fan-made episodes. Although rare, these episodes are drawn by different artists and feature radically different art styles and storylines. Most of them are rather old, but then again, all of CFA is!

It’s no secret that I’m not proud of Cloud’s Forum Adventures. Not only does it look childish (which makes sense, given that I was twelve years old when I made it), but its story is very difficult to follow and often makes zero sense. And despite being a clear ripoff of the Kirby franchise, CFA actually has some similarities to its plot… or should I say, the Kirby series has similarities to CFA’s plot.
That’s right: there are many happenings in CFA that are extremely similar to events in Kirby: Planet Robobot and Kirby Star Allies. Except the CFA episodes were actually released first! There have been fairly recent changes to CFA’s season organization. Seasons 7 and 8 (Sealed Shadows and Infinity Gauntlet) have been removed from the canon, though they received enough episodes to warrant sections of their own. Serials that received five chapters or less have been grouped into the Standalone Episodes category.

Cloud’s Forum Adventures (often shortened to CFA) was an awful comic series I worked on from 2012 to 2015. You’ll see what I mean just by reading one episode: its characters are dull, its plot is cliche, and its visuals are awkward and uninteresting. But this saga is the exception.
The second iteration of the Nightmare Legion saga was the seventh and final story arc of the series. It’s the best one, too: massively improved visuals, somewhat competent dialogue, and a storyline that isn’t too hard to follow. It’s still brought down by its Kirby-centric designs, but that would’ve been difficult to change. Continue reading Cloud’s Forum Adventures: Season 6B (Nightmare Legion Saga)
